Sony PSP Phone: Experia Play - Really, Sony?

Sony is late maybe too late, to the realm of mobile gaming. The new Experia Play from Sony Ericsson is "sporting" what is now considered old mobile tech. There are dual-core ARM SOCs out now, but Sony Ericsson decided a 1GHz Snapdragon SOC, also found in the HTC Incredible (among other Android smartphones) would be the right choice. Maybe for better battery life? Maybe it's a tested tried and true chip? I think that all of these modified ARM SOCs are risky but if you trust ARM and the companies that design and make these chips, a dual-core latest and greatest probably isn't *that* risky.
